Jason Mulligan is a Kent based stone sculptor, and member Royal British Society of Sculptors, with public art projects and installations across the UK and Ireland. Jason approached us about producing a short film for the upcoming “On Form” exhibition at Asthall Manor, Oxfordshire.
One of the challenges when creating a video for an exhibition is that we’re keenly aware that visitors are going to be presented with a wealth of information on multiple pieces by many different artists, so our goal is to present something which stands out from the crowd, shares unique information about the art and is memorable. Every artist wants their name and work to be spoken about by visitors in the café and on the car journey home.
We spoke to Jason at length about his vision for the video and the key points that he wanted to share with his audience. A common occurence for these videos is that they serve multiple purposes – in this case to be an accompaniment for the exhibition but to also to serve as a promotional piece for Jason which he could use on his website and entice new commissions and to raise interest in himself as an artist and his sculptures. This is one of the reasons why a promotional video production is great value for money, and how they can be beneficial not only to businesses but also sole traders, artists and musicians as well.
A selection of shots from this film also proudly feature in our showreel and banner headers on this site.
