Digital Imaging with Nike & Nandi Bushell

MotionHut was recently at hand to provide Digital Imaging services for a Nike Kids’ PLAYlab production featuring virtuoso drummer Nandi Bushell. The production utilised CODEX Media from an Arri Alexa LF and a Sony Venice. In addition, we provided a livestream feed to the producers in Paris from the production base in London, who were able to feedback to the production crew on set in real time.

Untold Stories nominated for AHRC Research Film Award

“Untold Stories: A History of Black People In Kent” has been nominated for a prestigious Arts and Humanities Research Council “Research Film Award”, presented at BAFTA. The film was shot by MotionHut working in collaboration with ex-BBC producer Helen Curston, the Medway African and Caribbean Association and Chatham Historic Dockyard, and went on to become an integral part of a wider exhibition exploring the lives and culture of historic African and Caribbean settlers in Kent and the South East.

Exploring “The Kingdom of Sound” – A short documentary for school children

As part of our ongoing collaboration with the Orchestra Network for Europe and University For The Creative Arts,  MotionHut had the opportunity to document the making of a very special short film. In 1945, when English composer Benajamin Britten wrote Young Persons Guide to The Orchestra he wanted to introduce young people to the world of classical music. Some 70 years later, CG animation filmmakers from University For The Creative Arts in Rochester are bringing his work firmly up to date. “Red & The Kingdom of Sound” is the 17 minute animated musical adaptation of Britten’s piece.
